SOUTHERN CROSS SIGNAL MAINTENANCE

The maintenance depot facility was constructed by APM, adjacent to the refuelling depot at the northern end of Southern Cross Station. The project required that the critical trades, equipment and materials were ordered as quickly as possible in order to meet the date of practical completion. Owing to the nature of the project, working within an operating rail environment provided a challenge for the construction team, engaging certified personnel to carry out track coordination and track protection.
